Chakra Balancing
45-minute sessions designed to create an energetic balance in the body. In the same way that we eat nutritious foods and exercise to keep our physical body healthy, it is important to nourish our chakras. The chakras are energy centers that are often referred to as the organs of the energy body. Through foods, oils, yoga asanas, pranayamas, and healing stones we can support balancing the chakras. In addition, and most importantly, we work together to expand awareness of how your communication and day-to-day choices can either disturb or support the health of your chakras.

Ayurveda literally translates into the science of life. It is a 5,000 year old form of healing and medicine originating in India. According to Ayurveda, everything including ourselves are composed of 5 elements: ether, air, fire, water, and earth. Combinations of these elements form the doshas, mind or body types. They govern all physical and mental processes and provide a path to health and fulfillment. The three doshas are:
Ether & Air
The Vata dosha is composed of the elements of ether & air which have the qualities or "gunas" of being cold, dry, light, moving, changing, & irregular. When in balance, It presents itself as movement within the body, the actions of the nervous system, and the process of elimination. In the mind, it is present as creativity, liveliness, and enthusiasm.
Fire & Water
The Pitta dosha is composed of the elements of fire & water, which have the qualities or "gunas" of being hot, intense, penetrating, pungent, sharp, and acidic. It controls the metabolism, digestion, and production of energy in the body. In the mind, it is the sharpness, intellect, and logic.
Water & Earth
The Kapha dosha is composed of the elements of water & earth, which have the qualities or "gunas" of being heavy, slow, steady, solid, cold, soft, and oily. Kapha is manifested in the body as maintaining the structure; holding the cells together to form the muscles, fat, bone, and tissue.
